Grandma’s Biscuits
Ingredients :
1/2 cup of sugar
1 stick of butter
1 egg
1 cup of flour
Cheffy the Chef says :
Put one cup of flour into a bowl.
Add 1/2 cup of sugar and a stick of butter!
Add the egg to the mix and blend all of the ingredients together until the mixture becomes like dough.
Make a ball out of the dough and put it on the cutting board.
Then using a rolling pin, flatten the dough and make a very thin layer.
When the dough is thin enough (around 1cm in thickness) you can cut out different shapes: A fish, a butterfly, a bird…
Arrange them nicely on the baking tray and place them in the oven until they are golden brown and ready to eat.
First of all the flour,
And then some sugar too.
Put some butter don’t forget,
Break one egg in two in two.
We are making dough
For tasty biscuits you know.
Knead it hard and well
We’re making the dough
Knead it hard and well
We’re making the dough.
Then to make it very thin,
We can use a rolling pin
Let us pick a shape we love
A duck a fish, maybe a dove
It’s going to be a treat
The biscuits we’re going to eat.
Patience little friends
You’re in for a treat.
How long do we have to wait?
Oh,
Until --we get to taste?
They’re too hot to eat
So let them cool a bit,
They’re too hot to eat
So let them all cool a bit
Come around and take a seat
The biscuits are ready to eat!
